Metallurgical Fire I admit to some skepticism when I saw the artist mention Obituary. A black metal artist is not someone you’d associate with groove laden OSDM. The comparison ends up fitting quite well, even though the vocals land us in blackened death metal territory. Percussion is heavier and more pronounced than on most of Salqiu’s releases, which fits the OSDM profile perfectly. It would be great to see a full length death metal album from A Walloping Curse (I like the name, too). On my fourth listen! Favorite track: In The Debris.

YomaBarr Once a deather, always a deather :) But a leopard can't change its spots, and the result is highly listenable atmospheric death metal like no other. I really like it.

Life is Bloody Pink This beautiful thing might be presented, on a different alias than SALQIU, but this osdm worship definitely carries that special Nuno-dna, I’ll recognize ANY day!; while the songs apparently are eight years old, it’s definitely still a breath of fresh air, from the experimental metal wizard Nuno Lourenco. S-U-P-P-O-R-T!

Ippocalyptica I am increasingly convinced that Nuno would be a master at whatever he applied himself to, at least within the realm of music, because the mastery that he has shown for years of experimental black metal, and now even of old-school death metal, is the result of him understanding the fundamental nature of telling a great story in aural form. The combination of raw talent with an incredible work ethic can allow someone to achieve wondrous things, and so it continues with A Walloping Curse! Favorite track: Procession.

This is some random take on Death Metal, mostly inspired by my deep and undying love for Obituary and other OSDM bands.
It obviously has that always present personal touch, though.

These tracks were recorded some 8 years ago, and I just thought I should share them now, on my Salqiu page, but under a different project name.
I actually released this back in the day (before even Salqiu came into fruition) under the name of Anthropomorphic Soul, but took it out right after. Recently I thought of sharing it again, this time for real and in definitive format.

Like said, OSDM worshipping, even if with an experimental touch.
